Selling on Scrader: How to setup your store for logistics

Scrader provides you with tools to serve your customers quickly and effectively. Here, you’d learn how to set up your logistics and handle deliveries for every order.

Step One: Update Your Address, LGA, and State

To ensure the logistics system works properly, make sure your address, LGA and State are accurate and updated.

To update your address, go to store settings, under “Store and Payment Details”, enter your address and select your State / LGA. 

Step Two: Setup Your Store to Handle Logistics

You can either use Scrader Express or an external rider to deliver your products to shoppers.

What is Scrader Express? Scrader Express is an in-built system created to handle logistics automatically – it takes away the stress of facilitating deliveries automatically. The delivery price is calculated when the order is being placed, and when you’re ready to deliver, you can click a button on the orders page to get a rider. This service is only available in Lagos for packages below 250cm*250cm dimensions.

To enable Scrader Express, go to store settings, under “Pickup and Deliveries”, click “Enable Scrader Express”

If you’re based outside Lagos or want to use your logistics rider, click “Manual Deliveries”. Provide information for every area you deliver to, including the delivery price and the delivery time.

Step Three: When Receiving an Order 

After Accepting Order, you can update delivery status. If automated logistics is enabled, you will receive a call to facilitate order pickup and delivery status will be automatically updated. If you are processing delivery manually, send the product out within the timeframe indicated in your store settings.

To update delivery status, go to the order page, click “Update delivery status” when the product is sent out and when delivery has been made. 

Once delivery have been confirmed, you are all set! You will receive payment for the order within 24 hours. For more information about payments, see how to receive payments for your order
